Counting to Eleven

I can't believe it. Lev can credibly count from 1 to 11 and he seems to credibly understand the concept of  quantity right about up until number 4 or 5. Its amazing since I couldnt count til 11 until the first grade. Future math whiz?

These are the two words I hear most from Lev these days. More of everything please and of course all of it is only his.

MORE!

21 Months

Our little boy at 21 months is a happy, fun loving, adventurous tyke. He loves the girls, apples, and Yo Gabba Gabba obsessively in that order. He loves playing in the sand and reading books.  He loves the beach.  We have been having amazing 80 degree weather in January so he got to play in Santa Monica and Manhattan Beach this weekend. These shots were taken after he got wet and I had to strip him out of his clothes. I fashioned a sun dress out of my sweater and he picked up where he left off with his playing, jumping, babbling, and running.

He can identify many animals, parts of the face, foods he likes, vehicles (bike, plane, train, car, truck, bus), Sesame Street and Gabba characters now. He can repeat most anything you say and string together 3-4 words. He understands everything you tell him, just stubbornly refuses to listen some times. He is also very lovey and gives out kisses and hugs to all the people who catch his fancy.

The Boys

Lev adores his best friend Nico. The urban hike near our house is not half as fun without Nico. Here they are at the top of the stairs "stretching" with Alec.

 And here they are at the park making mud pies.

Anything Nico does is the coolest thing ever for Lev and he must mimic. He also tries to think of naughty feats to impress Nico with so the two of them together are a handful, but an adorable handful.

Beach Bum

The temperatures have been in the high 70s for a week now so we hit the beach MLK weekend so that Lev could play in the sand and get wet. He loved it.

Reunited

Lev hadn't played with his girlfriend Zeezee in 2 weeks (!) and was so happy to see her. The love was palpable. Big smooch.

Animal Sounds

A video of Lev reciting all the animal sounds he knows. There was one really good one that was erased by mistake so this will have to do for now.
