ABC
Lev loves singing Happy Birthday and ABC while playing the xylophone and beating a drum and directing one of us to play the flute. He is the band lead singer and conductor. Today he also started singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.
He is also Mr. Bossypants telling us what to do, when, and how. As in "Mama, come!", "Dadda, play trains". He is really into the collected works of Paul Simon, especially the songs with drumming and he is getting into Spongebob Squarepants and Bob the Builder, which is a welcome relief from Yo Gabba Gabba. He is now 22lbs 9.75 oz and 32.5" tall, so he is on the small side, but the pediatrician was impressed by how developmentally advanced he is for his age. He finds good times and something to laugh at wherever we are.
Obsessed with all the trucks, buses, trains and cars he sees.
He has gone on some nature walks where he collects rocks, leaves, and small flowers and later examines his findings.

Lev is 2!
He's a very big boy. Super smart and very persistent. He knows what he wants. He love splaying with his toy trains and cars and can keep busy doing that for hours. He also lies telling me "momma, I ate it" or " I drank it" every time he finishes something. His favorite color is orange - he loves all orange food, clothes, toys, etc. We had a birthday party for him with an Easter Egg hunt as the main activity. He enjoyed hiding and then finding the eggs. He was a pro.

The Big Island
Lev just got back from a wee in Hawaii where he played in the sand, dipped his feet in the water, and worked on his tan. He loved the Luao that was hosted in our hotel 3x below our balcony. The hula girls made him smile. He loved the fresh pineapple from the farmer's market that they would cut open for us. He was so happy there that he would come over for a big hug every half hour.

No Momma, I can Do It
That seems to be what I hear a lot of these days which is col b me. He insists on feeding himself, waling Rascal, pushing his stroller, anything he can think by himself. Its usually messy process, but worth it to see him assert himself. He can also count to 20! Wow. Brushing those teeth is a major struggle every night, but on a brighter note he is finally sleeping straight through from 8pm-5am with no interruptions. Which means we are sleeping too.
Practicing walking Rascal in the house.
He loves trying on m shoes and walking around the house without tripping.
Getting over a cold.

Counting to Eleven
I can't believe it. Lev can credibly count from 1 to 11 and he seems to credibly understand the concept of quantity right about up until number 4 or 5. Its amazing since I couldnt count til 11 until the first grade. Future math whiz?

Big brown eyes, small snotty nose, SO cute!
